When you purchase any product or service on phone (through IVR), you now need to enter an additional password to make your transaction a lot more safe. This is a mandatory guideline from RBI.

Please follow the steps given below for generating password for IVR Transactions:

  • SMS “KOTP XXXX” (last four digits of Kotak Credit Card number) to 5676798 or 9212738927 from your registered mobile number before your transaction.

  • You will automatically receive a numeric password on your registered mobile number.

  • Call the merchant where you wish to purchase the product or service from.

  • Please key in your Credit Card number, expiry date and CVV number.

  • Enter the numeric password through your phone.

  • Proceed with processing your phone (IVR) transaction.

Each purchase will have a new and unique password which can be used within 2 hours. Kindly note that no phone (IVR) transactions can be carried out without following the password process.
